Sunday, November 24, 2013 - Santa Claus is coming to Trenton!
Get ready for a visit from Santa as our community comes together at our 60th Anniversary of the Trenton Santa Claus Parade. The parade this year will be held this Sunday, November 24 at 4:30 pm. Get bundled up and bring the entire family out to see all the wonderful floats built by local businesses, organizations and service clubs.
The parade will leave Centennial Park at 4:30 pm, make its way up Campbell St, and then follow Dundas St East over the bridge and through downtown around 5:00 pm and then dispersing at Queen St.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank and toy for the Kinsmen Toy Drive. Remember to watch for the Canada Post carriers as they walk through the parade to collect your letters and deliver them directly to Santa at the North Pole!
“Our businesses put a lot of creativity into making there floats” says Jillian McCormick, event coordinator. “To watch the reaction from the children as they see the lights and characters on each float makes it all worthwhile, this is why we enjoy putting on this parade each year,” McCormick continues.
The Quinte West Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Claus Parade Committee has been working hard to make sure the community has a great parade this year.
