Gift from the Heart (GFTH) is embarking on an exciting new chapter with the opening of their new location at 20 Joseph Street in Trenton. Bev Woods, CEO and founder of GFTH, reflects on this milestone: “For over 15 years, we’ve witnessed how oral health care can transform lives. This new clinic is a promise to our community that we’ll continue to bridge the gap for those who need us most.” The move reflects the organization’s dedication to ensuring access to essential dental hygiene services for underserved populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and the working poor without dental benefits.
Since its founding in 2008, GFTH has been a pioneer in providing preventative and emergency dental hygiene care to Canadians in need. In addition to their new clinic, GFTH operates innovative mobile services, including retrofitted paramedic vehicles and a state-of-the-art Mobile Dental Trailer. These resources, along with their National Day of Giving, allow volunteer dental professionals to provide care directly to those who face barriers to traditional dental services. GFTH’s programs rely on the generosity of donors, grants, and community partnerships, ensuring that care remains accessible to those most in need.
The new Trenton clinic will officially open its doors on Friday, January 24, 2025, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:00 AM. The public is invited to tour the facility and learn more about GFTH’s impactful work.
