IPEX has been nominated as a finalist for the Skills & Training Award, to be presented on the evening of November 25 at the 2015 Ontario Business Achievement Awards. Make sure to get your seats today!
About IPEX:
IPEX designs and manufactures one of the world’s most diverse lines of integrated thermoplastic piping systems— pipe, valves, fittings, auxiliary components and tools—all engineered from the ground up to handle the full range of today’s municipal, industrial, commercial and residential applications.
IPEX was formed in 1992 as a result of a merger between two organizations: Scepter and Canron. Canron was established in the 1800’s and Scepter in the early 1950s. Both were successful businesses and their merger created the leader in plastic piping systems. The organizations both had similar values and sought to maintain their strong customer focus while continuing to expand.
IPEX believes that the best way to continue their success is through their employees – and as a result the company has put an increased focus on developing their talent and ensuring that they have the skills needed both to not only do their current job, but jobs in the future.
Through their skills and training initiatives, IPEX is actively contributing to Ontario’s economy in a positive way. By investing in the development, engagement and productivity of their employees, IPEX is able to simultaneously grow their business and create jobs within the province.
About the Skills & Training Award:
The Skills and Training Award is awarded to a business whose skills and training initiatives best harness the talent of its people, embrace diversity, and support employee success.
