Downtown Trenton has a new place to gather, sing and have some fun with the opening of Okay Karaoke. Owner Matt Gallant, originally from Prince Edward Island, spent 25 years studying and working across five provinces before settling in the County four years ago. After years of working in project management and business analysis, Gallant made the decision a few years ago to take the leap into entrepreneurship and bring his first business to life.
“Quinte West has been incredibly welcoming,” says Matt Gallant, owner of Okay Karaoke. “There are so many people and organizations here who are willing to help, point you in the right direction and support small businesses. We saw an opportunity to create something fun for the community, and we’re really excited to become part of downtown Trenton.” The Gallant family will also be moving to Bayside later this fall as they put down deeper roots in Quinte West.
Okay Karaoke offers a dedicated karaoke experience with a large stage, two microphones and a library of more than 20,000 fully licensed songs displayed on TVs throughout the venue. Guests can enjoy a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, along with local snacks from the Trenton Deli & Bakery, Jolly Baking Co., Picard’s and Centre Cinemas. The venue also offers private, all-ages bookings for birthdays, family gatherings, retirement parties, workplace events and more.
Okay Karaoke is located at 105 Dundas St. West in Trenton, directly across from the movie theatre. They are open Thursday to Sunday from 6 p.m. until late, with closing times varying depending on the evening. Private events are available by reservation outside regular hours.
