Are you currently exporting, or thinking about exporting? If so, consider the Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s (OCC) Global Growth Fund export programs: Early Stage Exporters, Export Market Access, and/or the Ontario Exporters Fund. These three programs provide funding to assist Ontario’s small to medium sized businesses to access and expand their reach into foreign markets.
Early Stage Exporters (ESE)
Recognizing that some companies naturally have a global mindset early on in their development, the Early Stage Exporters program focuses on targeting firms seeking to export. Companies that have at least three employees and at least $300,000 in sales can access up to $30,000 per application to develop and grow their export markets, obtain new sources of capitalization/funding, and increase export sales of Ontario goods and services by executing specific export activities to showcase their goods and services. For more information visit earlystageexporters.ca.
Export Market Access (EMA)
Export Market Access targets firms who have at least five employees and at least $500,000 in revenue. Eligible companies can receive funding to exhibit at Trade shows, participate in trade missions, develop marketing materials, and other export related activities. The maximum funding per application is $30,000. For more information visit exportaccess.ca.
Ontario Exporters Fund (OEF)
Ontario Exporters Fund provides funding to Ontario firms to hire a dedicated export manager to implement international business strategies in order to gain or increase access in international export markets. Companies can receive up to $40,000 for a maximum of two years for a total of $80,000. Eligible firms have at least five employees and at least $3 million in total sales, of which 10-50% must be export sales. For more information visit ontarioexporters.ca.
Together, the Global Growth Fund has supported firms in over 150 communities across Ontario to increase their export sales and creates jobs in the province.
