September 15, 2020
Attention residential and business owners and tenants.
The building located at 30 Dundas Street West (the former Mighty Dollar building) is scheduled to be demolished. The anticipated start date is September 28, 2020 and is expected to take approximately 8 weeks to completion.
During the demolition there may be periods of time when the sidewalk in front of the building will be protected by hoarding and fencing and may be required to be closed. There may also be a closure of the parking spaces and a driving lane in front of the building. Advance notice of sidewalk or Dundas Street closures will be given.
There will be a period of time when the City access/laneway from Elgin Street to the rear of the property will be closed. This access/laneway closure will affect the access to a number of parking spaces behind the adjoining buildings located at 24 – 26 Dundas Street West and 34 – 36 Dundas Street West. All vehicles should be removed from the parking areas prior to the start of demolition. Alternative parking arrangements for those vehicles impacted will be provided for by the City at the Balsam Street parking lot.
To arrange for a parking pass, or for further information, please contact the City at (613) 392-2841.
