Did you know that one in seven Ontarians has a disability? As it ages, the number is expected to increase to one in five, as will the need for accessibility.
Providing accessible services to your employees and customers is about removing barriers for people with disabilities and different abilities, and taking things like the environment, the workplace, information, and transportation into consideration.
For some organizations, ensuring that they are accessible can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Presented by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Accessibility Works helps Ontario’s businesses and not-for-profit organizations to understand and comply with their obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
In collaboration with local chambers of commerce and boards of trade, we will come to your community and provide a one-hour workshop with everything that you need to know about your accessibility requirements. You can also participate in one of our one-hour, online interactive sessions.
Visit the Accessibility Works website to check out our new look, find resources, and book your Fall workshop.
If you’re interested in hosting an Accessibility Works workshop in your community during Small Business Week, October 19-25, please be sure to get in touch with us early.
