The Quinte West community has a sweet new destination with the opening of The Frozen Shoppe, owned and operated by local couple Tyler and Tammy Rickey. Longtime residents of the area, the Rickeys were inspired to open the business after years of creating family memories through ice cream outings with their own children. “Family outings for ice cream have always been a tradition for us and our kids, and we want other people in our community to have the same experience building memories and traditions,” said Tammy and Tyler Rickey. The Frozen Shoppe also aims to support local fundraisers, organizations, and charities.
The Frozen Shoppe offers a wide variety of frozen treats for all ages, featuring Kawartha Dairy scoop ice cream, soft-serve with Flavour Burst options, build-your-own sundaes, and custom milkshakes. Signature menu items include their popular Fuzion Cups, Nacho Chill Supreme trays, and handmade ice cream cakes. With endless flavour combinations and unique creations, the shop brings a fun and exciting ice cream experience to the community.
The Frozen Shoppe operates from two locations at 12 Dundas Street West and 9 Frankford Crescent in Trenton. Beginning this month, the downtown location will be open seven days a week from 11:00am to 9:00pm. For more information, visit www.thefrozenshoppe.ca or call 613-955-1167.
