Top wedding professionals gathered on Tuesday, February 18, at The Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel and Suites to find out the champions of the 2nd Ontario Wedding Awards 2020, in an elegant ceremony, put on to acknowledge the best that the industry has to offer.
The awards recognized everyone that works hard towards creating memorable and unique weddings; from wedding planners, coordinators, specialists and caterers to photographers, videographers, florists and stationary suppliers.
A Spokesperson for The Ontario Wedding Awards 2020 said: “The winners represent the industry’s gold standard that work tirelessly to meet the demands of the couples and their guests. The awards showcased some of the best wedding specialists that operate in the industry, whose excellence and commitment brought them at the forefront of the industry.
“These champions are tried and tested specialists that know how to create a stress-free wedding experience, keeping the romance in the air. We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their amazing achievements.”
A small team of type A businesses owners obsessed with bringing the very best information to couples planning their wedding was nominated in the Wedding Exhibition Event of the Year. Founders of the “Let’s Get Married Quinte” event, Jennifer Putman (Emma’s Bridal Boutique), Kelly Butt (Wish, etc) and Taylor Russet (Russett Photography), working in partnership with Casa-Dea Estate Winery and 95.5 HitsFM, COOL 100 and in Quinte.ca, were pitted against 9 other groups for this notable award. Given that the 2019 show was their first ever, the team was very grateful to even be considered for this award.
When they were announced as the winners, the team was overjoyed.
Co-founder Taylor Russett stated, “We are ecstatic to be awarded this recognition of Ontario’s best wedding exhibition in 2019. We are thankful for our guests and vendors in the Bay of Quinte and Prince Edward County area. Our first show was truly a great gathering of some of the best in the wedding industry and we look forward to putting together another great show this year”.
