Sutton Consignment is officially welcomed to the retail community downtown Trenton. Although customers have been enjoying the store for some time, we are pleased to announce the official opening of this vibrant and eclectic establishment. Owner Becky Lightfoot took a leap and started Sutton Consignment after a big life adjustment. “While living in Port Hope I lost my job of 21 years, so I moved to Brighton to figure out what was next in my journey,” said Becky. “I have always been interested in antiques and vintage stores, so it was an easy decision.” After careful consideration, it was decided Trenton was the best fit for the store’s location.
Since opening their doors, Sutton Consignment has quickly grown with over 100 consignors stretching from Belleville to Picton and all the way to Cobourg. With the classic consignment business plan, they sell antiques, vintage farmhouse finds, military memorabilia, new and used clothing, and sports collectables. Alongside an ongoing search for new consignors, Becky also keeps a wish list of items her customers regularly seek. If at first glance you don’t see what you’re looking for, Becky encourages shoppers to ask a store associate because in addition to her showroom, Becky has more items in storage.
