The Quinte West Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its 2022 President’s Dinner and AGM on Thursday, March 31st at Occasions by the Bay in Bayside. This is a special night in Quinte West where the business community comes together to recognize the accomplishments of its Chamber, the success of its business community and to pay their respects to this year’s Honorary Life Time Membership recipient Aleesha Camp.
“It is our honour this year to recognize Aleesha Camp with a Honourary Lifetime Membership,” said Quinte West Chamber president Rick Davies. “Aleesha grew up in Trenton, went to high school in Brighton and graduated from Queen’s University in 1994. After being called to the bar two years later, she came back to her roots, as she loves the small town feel of the area and operated law offices in Trenton and Brighton until last year. Her contributions to Quinte West have made a real impact on our community and I can’t think of a more deserving person for this award.”
““I am very honoured and humbled to be recognized with such a distinguished group of community leaders,” says Camp. “What a truly kind gesture.”
Aleesha is known in our community for her dedication to building our community through her volunteerism and sponsorships while running her own successful law practice. The list of not for profits and charitable organizations she has helped through giving her time and monetary supports are numerous. She has chaired many boards and committees, including with the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation, the YMCA Strong Kids and the Children’s Foundation. She sat on Board of Governors for five years and was one of the founders of the Brighton Barn Theatre. Her focus on children and youth have influenced Quinte West and the entire Bay of Quinte Region for years to come. While retired from her law practice, her legacy of being a community builder and her generosity to numerous charities and community initiatives over the years have been much appreciated.
“The efforts that Aleesha has made to make this local community a better place to live for everyone has been very impactful,” said Quinte West Chamber CEO Suzanne Andrews. “On top of running a successful law practise in two communities she still finds the time to really give back to his community. Aleesha’s efforts to help those she can through her fundraising efforts and committee work are wide spread and she is a true ambassador for the entire business community.”
