Mother-daughter team, Chand Nawaz Khan and Sophia Silva, are pleased to announce the opening of their two new businesses at a shared location in Quinte West, Lunar Lymphedema and Massage Clinic & Chia Aesthetic Spa. After moving to Brighton in 2019 with her daughter, Chand observed a significant demand for Lymphedema therapists in the area. “With waiting lists extending up to five years and patients from as far as Kingston seeking treatment in Trenton, I was inspired to make a difference,” said Chand. “I became a Registered Massage Therapist and decided to specialize in Lymphatic Massage Therapy to better serve the individuals in need.”
The clinic provides a range of massage therapies including lymphedema, prenatal, post-surgical, and sport injury care. Chand’s mission is to offer high-quality care, ensuring clients receive the attention and treatment they deserve in a supportive and healing environment.
Chand’s daughter, Sophia, was inspired to start her own business, Chia Aesthetic Spa, after watching her mother pursue her entrepreneurial goals. With a passion for skincare and promoting self-care, Sophia worked to expand her knowledge and expertise in the field. “I obtained certifications in skincare and waxing, and I specialize in facials, threading, and tinting,” said Sophia. “I’m excited to offer a place in Quinte West where clients will leave feeling confident and relaxed.”
Located at 215 Dundas Street East, Lunar Lymphedema and Massage Clinic’s hours of operation are Tuesday-Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm, and Saturday 8:00am – 12:00pm.
