RE: Opening of Avail Veteran Assistance Clinics in Quinte West
Avail Veteran Assistance Clinics is opening their newest location in Quinte West to serve retired veterans of the Quinte Region. This location will be led by General Manager Cory Bryan who is a former Canadian Airborne Regiment Paratrooper and military firefighter that served at CFB Trenton. “Avail Veterans was founded on the principles of understanding the struggles that our CAF Veterans can encounter on a daily basis,” explains Bryan. “Our compassion plus expertise has led us to develop a range of multi-disciplinary health services to assist CAF Veterans.”
The assistance offered to veterans at this location includes help with completion of veteran affairs forms and others, Doctor services for members without a family Doctor, Mental Health Support, specialist referrals and medical cannabis and pain cream prescriptions. Every Friday all veterans and first responders are invited to come down to the office for Red Friday and join in the conversation while coffee and doughnuts are served.
