Chrissy Williams-Hunt and Ally Wojewski are graduates of Loyalist College and have lived in the Quinte area their entire lives. They have both maintained long-standing careers through local, community-based agencies that specialize in supporting senior citizens and people with disabilities.
Allow Us Senior Services arose when Williams-Hunt and Wojewski noticed mobility issues and health concerns in their own parents. Although their parents were independent, daily tasks/obligations seemed to become increasingly difficult. “We knew that given the opportunity to receive a little assistance now and then, our parents could remain in their homes, therefore allowing them to be independent for longer. This was, and remains our goal, for not only our own parents, but for the many seniors living in our surrounding communities,” says Williams-Hunt.
The business started in January of 2020, but when Covid-19 hit, Allow Us Senior Services decided to operate on a volunteer basis to help seniors with essential needs. Now that they have some experience under their belts, these business owners are ready to get their business up and running once again.
Allow Us Senior Services provides personalized transportation, grocery shopping/ pick up services, running errands, and more (all provided through insured, clean vehicles). The two co-owners have extensive experience with people of all abilities, as well as proper training in Covid-19 measures.
They are located in Quinte West, and serve customers from Brighton to Picton, as well as surrounding areas. They are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
