Larocque Boutique Opens in Quinte West. Originally born and raised in Newfoundland, Joan Larocque first moved to the Quinte region in 1989 as a military spouse. After travelling across Canada, Larocque’s family moved back to Quinte West 10 years later and remained here until they relocated to Kitchener/ Waterloo in 2005 after the passing of Larocque’s husband. It was in Kitchener/Waterloo that Joan opened Larocque Boutique in 2014 and enjoyed growing her retail business. Joan moved back to Quinte West to be closer to family during the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2021 with the intention of moving the business to Quinte West.
“I wanted to open this type of business in Quinte West because I saw a need in the market for lighting, home decor and gifts especially as our city has grown substantially,” Says Larocque.
Larocque Boutique offers unique and custom-designed high-end lighting, jewelry for your home, which is CSA approved, modern home decor and gifts including unique handmade Newfoundland items by Newfoundland artisans and items designed and manufactured by local Canadians such as Jacquline Kent of London Ontario.
