Originally opened in 1926, Trenton’s downtown movie theatre celebrates 100 years and one incredible year as Film.Ca Centre Cinemas. What an amazing milestone for our community. Since reopening the doors to this iconic theatre last March, Film.Ca has brought new life to a beloved local landmark while honouring its rich history.
The Hollywood North mural, created by Christopher Bennett of SERNA custom Artwork, was officially unveiled last week. His vision and talent brought this stunning mural to life on the historic building. The community came together to celebrate film, creativity, and connection with special guests and presentations to a performance by the St. Paul Catholic School choir.
Delegates from the Bay of Quinte MP and MPP offices, along with representatives from Mayor Harrison’s office, the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce , and the DBIA, presented CEO Jeff Knoll and COO Bryn Perras with official certificates recognizing the 100-year milestone. The St. Paul Catholic School choir shared a beautiful performance of a song from the 1928 film Carry On, Sergeant, filmed right here in Trenton, Ontario.
This celebration was a powerful reminder of the history, creativity, and community that make Trenton so special. Here’s to 100 years and an exciting future ahead!
