Barbacoa Boyz has debuted their Caribbean-Mexican-Canadian fusion food truck in Quinte West. Originally from the Durham/Toronto region, owners Jamie and Christina Beeston moved to Trenton in 2021. Chef Jamie has been in the restaurant industry for 25+ years and started Barbacoa Boyz as a catering company in 2018. “After moving to Trenton, we won the DBIA ‘Win This Space’ contest but there were no restaurant-ready locations available. Instead, we decided to start catering and open a mobile kitchen trailer that we now bring to different public pop-up locations as well as private events,” said Christina. Barbacoa Boyz is excited to appear at various local events including the Quinte West pop-ups in Centennial Park this summer.
With an emphasis on Caribbean-Mexican-Canadian fusion, Barbacoa Boyz offers delicious hand-crafted food with rich flavours and family-style service from their truck. “We provide catering and delivery as well as the mobile kitchen that helps us bring the freshness to wherever the action is,” said Christina. Alongside the delicious food, Jamie and Christina pride themselves on excellent customer service and they have reviews to show for it.
Barbacoa Boyz has flexible hours depending on the event or pop-up. Their menu and prices can be found online but they also offer customized quotes. They respond within 48 hours and require 2 weeks notice for catering. Barbacoa Boyz’ head office and catering pick up location is at 50 First Ave., Trenton, ON, K8V 4C4. They can be reached by phone at (289) 482-1171, by email at barbacoaboyz@gmail.com, online at www.barbacoaboyz.com, and on social media (Facebook/Instagram: @barbacoaboyz, YouTube: @Barbacoaboyz).
