Quinte West ON: Fredy and Tamara Cruz are the proud owners of an authentic Mexican food truck called El Torito. Fredy and Tamara are so excited to bring their food to the Quinte Region and share what Fredy loves to do. The couple met 10 years ago while Tamara was vacationing in Mexico, and after juggling years of long distance, Fredy decided to migrate to Canada to begin a life with Tamara and her son.
“Besides missing his family back home, Fredy also missed his traditional Mexican food,” said Tamara. “Ever since relocating to Canada, it’s been a dream of Fredy’s to open a food truck, to share a bit of his culture and offer a little taste of Mexico to our community.”
El Torito offers various kinds of authentic Mexican tacos, quesadillas, traditional Mexican sandwiches (Torta), and of course guacamole/Pico de Gallo and chips. They want their customers to feel welcomed and will always inform them on social media of any closures due to inclement weather.
El Torito is located at 22233 Loyalist Parkway, in Carrying Place. They are closed Mondays but are open Tuesday-Thursday & Sunday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM with extended hours on Friday & Saturday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
