Exciting new categories provide more opportunities for recognition
The Ottawa Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the launch of 2013 Best Ottawa Business Awards, formally Ottawa Business Achievement Awards. This year the awards have undergone an exciting evolution, with the focus to provide a more comprehensive overview of the National Capital Region’s economic performance and overall business community.
“We are excited to add new categories to our already successful awards ceremony,” says Chamber President & CEO, Ian Faris. “For the past 19 years the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce has recognized businesses for their leadership, achievement and the luminaries behind them. The addition of new categories widens the scope for new opportunities for more businesses to be recognized for their hard work and contributions to Ottawa’s economy”.
In addition to Lifetime Achievement Award and CEO of the Year Award, new category additions include;

- Multiple Performance Categories (HR Team, Sales Team, Marketing Initiative, Philanthropic Story, & Sustainability Leader)
- People’s Choice Polling Awards (Best Business Lunch, Best After Hours, Favourite Company, Best Ottawa Product, Most Valuable Employee & Ottawa Ambassador)
Best Ottawa Business Awards are created to celebrate Ottawa’s history of innovative, ethical & profitable business and recognizes innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. The awards are held in partnership with the Ottawa Business Journal.
Online nominations are now open at http://ottawabusinessawards.com/nominate/ and can be submitted until early October. Best Ottawa Business Award finalists will be named in early November and the grand awards gala is slated for November 21st at the Ottawa Convention Centre.
