ATMOS Marketing has been nominated for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the 2014 Ontario Business Achievement Awards.
The story of ATMOS Marketing began like many other successful start-up businesses: in the basement of a young entrepreneur’s mother’s house.
Noticing a gap in agencies offering digital expertise, the company sought to strengthen the digital marketing landscape in London, Ontario which they believed at the time was underserved and misunderstood.
After two years, co-founders Corey Dubeau and Larry Lau took an entrepreneurial leap of faith and moved into a downtown space in London. Their clients might have had a hard time taking them seriously without conventional office space.
The gamble paid off. Since opening its doors, ATMOS has been traveling upwards on a steady path of success.

Shaping the Future of the Local Digital Landscape
As London’s first specialized digital agency, ATMOS has achieved performance-driven results for clients ranging from local ‘mom and pop’ shopkeepers to nationally established brands. Their areas of expertise include digital advertising, search engine optimization, website design, analytics, content marketing, social media, and marketing.
To achieve scalable growth, they have also recently created promising e-commerce businesses and will be launching an analytics reporting dashboard that will benefit marketers and agencies in consolidating data across multiple advertising platforms.
“During university, we made the decision to build our own career path, instead of letting others dictate our future,” says Corey. “We saw an opportunity to change the local landscape of digital marketing and didn’t look back.”
.
Supporting the Community Through Marketing Expertise
ATMOS gives back to the London community through mentorship, volunteerism, and giving discounted services to the likes of the Canadian Diabetes Association, Brain Tumour Foundation, and Sunshine Foundation. Both Corey and Larry teach regular courses at local post-secondary institutions, like Western University, Fanshawe College, and Westervelt College.
They also make an effort to hire graduates from the London area. ATMOS is paving the way for like-minded young entrepreneurs in their community by hosting London’s first work/living space for entrepreneurs.
Operating within the digital marketing landscape, ATMOS understands and teaches the importance of learning new tactics, testing new strategies, and adapting to new technologies. In a field like digital that’s always changing, ATMOS is ready and willing to evolve their business to go along with it – and they hope future generations of entrepreneurs, students and business owners follow suit.

The Secret to ATMOS’ Success
What advice does ATMOS have for businesses that want to succeed in Ontario? “Work hard and always be transparent. When you are honest with your clients, you will establish a reputation as a company that people want to work with.”
For ATMOS, this couldn’t ring more true. The company is currently undergoing aggressive growth and has a five year plan to be one of the leading digital marketing agencies in Canada, with offices across the country.
