RE: Store specializing in coffee opens in Trenton
Trenton, ON: The biggest trend in coffee these days seems to be in convenience and selection. Everyone wants to have a cup of great brewed coffee exactly the way they like it whether they are at home or at work. This is where Fabulous K-Cups & Things come in, a store specializing in the k-cups used in the Keurig coffee makers. “Many communities have these types of stores that specialize in k-cups and other items,” says store owner Burt Davenport. “My wife Tracey and I wanted a career change and decided to start our own business and saw the opportunity to bring this type of coffee selection to Quinte West.”
'Keurig' is derived from the Dutch word for excellence and is a patented name for the brewing technology and their gourmet brands of beverages. It is based on the question ‘why brew a whole pot of coffee when you drink it one cup at a time’. This simple question eventually lead to the revolutionary K-cup pack concept which was introduced in 1998. K-cups have become very popular in peoples busy lives as it lets you brew the perfect cup of gourmet coffee each time without having to grind, measure, or clean up.
At Fabulous K-Cups & Things you can buy one k-cup at a time to try instead of buying a whole box. This allows customers to try different coffees and other beverages before buying a whole box and finding out they do not like it and wasted their money. “Our store has 87 different k-cups to choose from,” says co-owner Tracey Davenport. “We have regular coffee from extra bold to light, flavoured coffee, teas, cappuccino, hot chocolate and iced beverages as well.”
The prices for all k-cups are 75 cents each or you can purchase 24 at a time either mix and match or all the same kind for only $16.00. During the month of JUNE every customer who buys 24 k-cups will receive a ballot for a chance to win a basket which will be drawn at the end of June.
