Ontario’s Political Parties Respond to the Bay of Quinte Chambers of Commerce 2014 Provincial Election Platform
Bay of Quinte Region, ON, MAY 29, 2014: Ontario's three major political parties have officially responded to the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce’s priorities for the 2014 provincial election.
Initially released two weeks ago in partnership with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Ontario Election 2014: Business Priorities outlines the major challenges inhibiting economic success in the province and provides recommendations to all political parties.

“This report by the Ontario Chamber clearly outlines the issues facing our members,” says Belleville Chamber CEO Bill Saunders. “It is critical that the parties address them during the campaign if we are to understand how our Chamber members and in fact the entire Province will succeed going forward.”
“This election is about choices and it is time for Ontario to face some tough decisions if we want to once again become the economic engine we once were,” says Quinte West Chamber Manager Suzanne Andrews. “This report addresses the top five issues facing Ontario and the positions of the three party leaders on each of them.”
'We're a non-partisan organization, so we are not in a position to endorse a particular party platform,' says Allan O'Dette, President and CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.
'However, we can say that we are pleased to see that all parties have made commitments to address some of the key priorities in our platform, including tackling Ontario’s growing debt, addressing electricity prices, and investing in critical infrastructure,' adds O’Dette.
