Get ready for a visit from Santa as our community comes together at our 70th Anniversary of the Trenton Santa Claus Parade. The parade this year takes place on Sunday, November 26 at 4:30 pm. Bundle up and head out to see all the wonderful floats built by local businesses, organizations and service clubs. Listen to a selection of bands from across the region as they play some Christmas favorites for the community to enjoy. These bands are funded through our sponsors and by donations from local businesses, service groups and individuals.
This year, we are dedicating the parade to a longtime volunteer, Bryan Swartman. Bryan has retired from the parade after being our Parade Marshall for close to 40 years. He assisted with the float line-up, the behind the scenes logistics and ensuring the parade left Centennial Park on time. “The Santa Claus Parade does not happen without the dedicated volunteers behind the scenes,” states Suzanne Andrews, CEO at the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce. “Bryan has been leading the efforts of the volunteer fire fighters and other volunteers for so many years and his efforts are truly appreciated, we are pleased to be able to honour his impact this way.”
The parade will leave Centennial Park at 4:30 pm, make its way up Campbell St, and then follows Dundas St East over the bridge and through downtown around 5:00 pm. Everyone is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank and toy for the Kinsmen Toy Drive. Watch for the Canada Post carriers as they walk through the parade to collect your letters and deliver them directly to Santa at the North Pole! Address your Santa letter to Santa Claus, North Pole, HOH OHO Canada. Remember to include your return address!
